Oregon Aerospace Careers For Everyone (O-ACE)

Oregon Aerospace Centers For Everyone (O-ACE) is a high school pathway program for students interested in careers as aviation maintenance technicians, avionics technicians, or professional pilots.  Hillsboro School District, Oregon Air Show Charitable Foundation, Oregon Air Show, Portland Community College, and Port of Portland recently held a grand opening celebration for the O-ACE program at the Hillsboro Airport.

This program has a goal of opening doors for many local students and increasing the diversity within the industry.  The course is taught by a bilingual, licensed female pilot.  A great deal of community support and partnerships made this program possible and renovated the former KUIK radio station space at the Hillsboro Airport and turned it into a classroom.

Such a great opportunity for our students of Hillsboro!
