Century High School was opened in 1997 to accommodate the growing population of Hillsboro. As the community expanded, there was an increasing need for additional educational facilities to serve the diverse student body. The school was named "Century" to reflect the turn of the century and the new beginnings that came with it. Designed to be a modern educational institution, Century High was built with innovative facilities that support a wide range of academic and extracurricular programs.
