Glencoe High School

Glencoe High School opened its doors in 1980 as a response to the growing population in the area. Named after the scenic former Glencoe area between Hillsboro and North Plains, the school was designed to provide a modern educational environment equipped with advanced facilities. Its establishment marked a significant step in accommodating the increasing number of students in the Hillsboro School District.

From its inception, Glencoe has focused on fostering academic excellence and community involvement. The school quickly gained a reputation for its strong academic programs, including Advanced Placement and vocational courses, as well as a commitment to the arts and athletics.
