Bio

Michael Tinnesand grew up on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington state and graduated from Sequim High School. He received his B.S. and M.S. Degrees from the University of Oregon. Now retired, he taught chemistry and biochemistry in Oregon for 22 years, first at the MidHigh, then Hillboro High and finally at Glencoe High. In 1996 he moved to Washington DC with his family and took a position with the American Chemical Society. After 12 years in DC, he returned to Hillsboro and pursued retirement. He has been on the board of the Hillsboro Schools foundation and the Westside Community & Youth Orchestra.
